GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS
WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY
The Viticulture and Enology Program at Washington State University is seeking outstanding candidates interested in earning a Ph.D. degree in the area of viticulture. Assistantships are available for work on grapevine anatomy and physiology, focusing on fruit ripening, vascular transport, and hydraulic limitations to plant growth. Currently, Ph.D. assistantships are provided for up to four years and include a tuition reimbursement and health insurance. Additional scholarships are also available. The research will be conducted at the Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Prosser and at the WSU Tri-Cities campus in Richland, Washington. Interested students should have a degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, botany, or a related field.
